The HomeAgain lost pet recovery service has evolved into an advanced pet safety and wellness service designed to offer total care and protection for your pet. To ensure your pet has permanent identification and that he has the best chances of being found if lost, a microchip with a unique identification code is implanted between the shoulder blades of the pet. The pet is enrolled in the HomeAgain national database that is available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. When a lost pet is found, he can be scanned at an animal shelter or veterinarian's office. The animal's identification number is provided to HomeAgain, and the pet owner is notified immediately.
Pets enrolled in the system also receive collar tags to wear with their HomeAgain identification number and our toll-free number. The tags alone help identify lost pets, but tags and collars can easily come off. A microchip provides permanent identification that remains in place. Your pet's microchip ID number provides a permanent link to your contact information, as long as your contact information remains up-to-date in our database. |
